My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Jon Offner and his excellent set of skills, while purchasing a house in Ponderosa Trails in Flagstaff, Arizona. Jon conducted the inspection of the home, and his communicative talents, both verbally and through the Inspection Report, were evident throughout, and provided the means for us to accurately assess our proposed home.

Following the inspection, Jon met with us and with our agent, and carefully took us through a virtual tour on his laptop. We could literally “see” what he found in his inspection, and he periodically paused to field our many questions. His expertise and affability created a safe space for inquiry and interaction, and he followed up this post-inspection discussion with e-mails and texts to ensure that we understood the details of the report.

In fact, that report was notable for its clarity, concision, and reader-friendliness, and its navigability was impressive in its ability to take the reader through color coded categories signifying potential repairs to keep an eye on; repairs that were necessary, but not urgent; and repairs that required immediate attention given their inherent safety issues. Each recommendation was accompanied by photos and explanatory description and summary. Reports of this nature can easily get bogged down in endless detail. Jon’s report was the opposite: a user-friendly snapshot and overview of those areas of concern and potential fixes, but one featuring the optimal level of detail.
